Alise Gaughan

Hola! My name is Alise Gaughan and I am the Multilingual Instructional Coach at Edgebrook, Duker, and Hilltop Schools.  This role allows me to share and grow with teachers, in turn having a positive impact on student learning and growth. Although I miss working directly with students, I am able to partner with teachers to impact more students overall.
I started my career in education in D15 in 2008; I have been a 2/3 Bilingual classroom teacher at Edgebrook, Bilingual Reading Interventionist at Hilltop, and an integral part of our Dual Language Program. Seeing students I have had over the years and watching them grow brings me so much joy. I love the families, culture, and fostering the superpower of being bilingual and biliterate!
In my free time, I'm out in my yard gardening, watching my kids play sports, and enjoying time with my family. I'm so proud to be a part of D15 and Hilltop family!

Margaret Goodwin

Hello!  My name is Maggie Goodwin. I am excited to be the newest member of the Hilltop Interventionist Team. I will be supporting Hilltop students in the area of math and literacy.  I earned my Elementary Education undergraduate degree from Purdue University, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction Concordia University, then I returned to National Louis University and completed additional course work to be a Reading Specialist.

My passion has always been to reach all  learners, especially the one who needs extra support. By identifying a student's strengths and weaknesses, I am able to link new learning to skills that are known. This approach allows the confidence of the learner to soar while making  a connection for new learning to already known skills.
