Mrs. Mazur

Mrs. Mazur has been the math and science teacher on the 7 Silver team since 2009.  She grew up in Hoffman Estates and was a three sport athlete all four years of high school.  Mrs. Mazur received her bachelors degree from Illinois State University and masters from the American College of Education.  She considers herself so incredibly lucky to have a job that she looks forward to going to every day.  

 In her free time,  Mrs. Mazur loves spending time with her daughter and husband.  She enjoys traveling and seeing different parts of the country, and of course, watching the Bears!

Mrs. Walsh

Mrs. Walsh is the 7th grade silver social studies and language arts teacher. She attended Northern Illinois University for her Bachelor of Science degree and Concorida University for her Master of Arts degree. She started teaching at McHenry Middle School (formerly McHenry Junior High School) in 1993. 

Mrs. Walsh grew up in McHenry and graduated from McHenry East Campus. She currently lives in McHenry with her husband and two children. She enjoys traveling to new places across the United States, going to concerts or sporting events, and reading suspense novels.

Mr. Young

Mr. Young is the 6th and 7th Silver Special Education Resource teacher here at MMS, this is his first year at MMS. Mr. Young Northern attended Northern Illinois University for both his bachelor of science and his LBS1 Licensure Special Education and Teaching. As a Resource teacher, Mr. Young will provide two types of services daily to meet the needs of his students. First is push in support ( entering students in their core classes of Math, ELA, Science and Social Studies and working collaborating with both 6th and 7th silver core teachers) second form of support consists of pulling students out during our Enrichment/Intervention block. This is a great opportunity to connect and work closely with students on their IEP goals and provide targeted instruction in a small group setting. 
 
Mr. Young lives in Woodstock with his wife, two children and two dogs, he enjoys everything Wisconsin has to offer with the exception of the Green Bay Packers, that is a line he just can't cross, it is Chicago Bears all the way! Mr. Young also enjoys all types of music, and watching crime, paranormal and history shows.
